Where Hearts Get Left
06/2012
Solo show at 5024SF Gallery July 14, 2012
This exhibition celebrated a 10 year relationship working with the 5024SF Gallery, and the first solo show in San Francisco since 2008. Over 3k people attended the opening night of the show, and the unveiling of the new Upper Playground walrus mural. A limited edition book of SF drawings was also produced for the show through 821 Ink. There were 60 new pieces in this show including paintings, sculpture, ink drawings, and screen prints. The over all theme of the show was the artists celebration, and deep love, for San Francisco "The City That Knows How". This body of work was placed in a gallery installation painted to feel like the viewer has entered in to the mythical "heart that got left in San Francisco". A very appropriate Frank Sinatra/ heartbeat soundtrack was provided by SF musician Edison.
