TEN YEARS OF FECAL FACE BITCHES!

my old friend john trippe from cleveland ohio started an art website back before i had an email address. i didnt understand exactly what a website was at that point, nor did i care. well ten years later, i owe john and his wife and website, an amazing amount of thanks and respect for exposing my artwork to people all over the world for the last decade. if you are in the bay area, and ever appreciated this website, get off your fat ass watching tv and come buy us a drink! cheers, see you there…

*below are the two new paintings for the fecalface 10 year jam, the show info, and a video from the greatest rapper in the bay area of all time…

PRIME SUMMERTIME…

back at home working on a bunch of projects on the “to do” list. we in the bay area are creeping towards our indian summer, and things here are starting to really warm up. i have been enjoying my life back here in san francisco. balancing alot of fun projects with friends, drinking, eating, and getting out and having small adventures. below are some snapshots, and a video from the wu tang. i saw them yesterday at rock the bells with rakim, murs, krs one, and tribe called quest. further proof you dont have to suck as you grow old…do it gracefully like the wu…more art related news soon…

ARRIVE BACK HOME, IN TIME TO EMPTY OUT MY DOME…

so,

i get back to san francisco, get rid of my mexican stomach parasite, then its straight back to the drawing table. i made this piece, called “the revenge of the road bear” in the first week i was home from the northwest. i am really stoked on it, my first five layered cutout, and a new direction for me. its about a travelling sales bear, who raises complete fucking hell on his travels. here is the sketch, the finished piece, and some background music. if you are in or around nyc this weekend, please stop by the joshua liner gallery and check it out…

pencil sketch the day i got home...

here is my man slug, showing the difference between off the top of the dome vs. written bullshit. similar to coming home from traveling and busting out a painting off the top of my dome in just a few days, vs. staying home all summer making the same old paintings…, yawn. very inspiring, thanks for the soundtrack…

FROM THE LAST SHOW DIRECT TO OLD MEXICO…

greetings from sunny guadalajara mexico. mi amigo sam flores and i were sent here to give a lecture and teach a workshop. the workshop was cancelled, so we just talked, painted some big dudes, drank mas cervecas, and mostly fucked around. i am really starting to get tired of the road, and miss north beach. a few more weeks i guess. below is the theme song for my life this summer, and a few gem snapshots from old mexico…

i may have the baddest collection of hurraches of any white dude ever.

STRIKES AND GUTTERS IN THE EMERALD CITY

DEAR SEATTLE:
a big thanks to everyone who came out last saturday night to see my show. we had good times, showed some art, made new friends, and enjoyed a few laughs and some oat sodas while we were at it. that makes 7 out of 7 shows in 2010, and officially closes the art show part of “the road less travelled” mobile art tour. big thanks to jen at space 619 in pioneer square, jay and richard from upper playground, roy and candice of the seattle spb, and the good people of seattle for giving a shit. this song goes out to everyone who gives a shit. rest in peace jimi. next stop mexico…
